Gerardo (50) returns to his hometown in Calabria for a family reunion but finds himself unexpectedly responsible for caring for an orphaned girl. While grappling with his desire to have a child with his young girlfriend in Rome, he discovers that the girl’s father might be in Argentina.
As he develops an unexpected bond with the girl and a strong, independent neighbor, his personal dilemma deepens. Gerardo must choose between his stable life in Italy and the adventure of a journey to Buenos Aires to reunite the girl’s family.
